About

Established in 2008 from humble beginnings with Claire Davis a sole practitioner, Footworks has grown into a multi disciplinary clinic focusing on podiatry services and improving quality of health for all our clients. We offer specialist care packages to a wide variety of patients of all ages and sex.  

Foot Works has built a strong reputation across the Wirral and Cheshire due to it number of expert podiatrist and allied health care professionals all working together to drive the service forward.

As a team we are all passionate about continuing to develop our practise and equipment to offer the very highest level of podiatry in a caring friendly environment.

 

Fully insured and a member of the Society of Chiropodist and Podiatrists ensure continued professional development is an on-going commitment. Foot Works aims to deliver the highest standard care to the Wirral community.

The Health Professional Council is the independent regulator, created by the government, and it is its legal duty to protect the health and wellbeing of people who use the services of the health professionals. The HPC regulates podiatrists and Chiropodists.

Claire Davis
BSc (Hons) podiatrist - MChS HCPC

Claire qualified from Salford university with 1ST Class Honours degree in Podiatry 2006. During the degree Claire took a keen interest in Musculoskeletal autoimmune conditions effecting people gait, muscles, balance and Feet. Focusing her final year on orthotic and effects of Arthritis on feet with mobility and pain management.

Claire has been involved with autoimmune conditions and feet with the Salford, Liverpool and Manchester Royal Hospitals and Universities combined with her own experiences with chronic pain, pain management, immune medications and physical therapy. Claire has applied her own experiences with her treatment care plans and focuses on prevention of joint destruction and mobility.

Claire is a busy working mum and with a previous degree in Business studies from Westminster’s university of London, Claire is the founder of Foot Works established in April 2007 after taking a year out to travel the world with her Husband. 10 Years later after growing an established reputable business and service, Claire was nominated for Cheshire Women of Year, recognising her efforts and commitment to the community providing high level Podiatry alongside a very serious illness and personal difficulties at the time.

Joanne Fellows 
MSc Podiatric Biomechanics
BSc (Hons) Pod. Med, HCPC reg, MCPod


Joanna qualified from the London Foot Hospital, part of University College London with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatric Medicine in 2005. Following graduation, She worked as a Senior Podiatrist for Lambeth Primary Care Trust gaining valuable experience in community care clinics, domiciliary visits as well as special case loads such as the diabetic clinics at Kings College hospital.

Whilst working as a Podiatrist, Joanna completed a Masters degree in Podiatric Biomechanics at Staffordshire University, furthering her knowledge in musculoskeletal injuries of the lower limb and foot function.
Sport and exercise has been an import part of Joanna’s life and has run two marathons, competed in weight-lifting and CrossFit competitions but now focuses mainly on Calisthenics and yoga.

Joanna can provided treatment for persistent verrucae by a “multiple puncture” technique. This method of treatment is proving to be popular for multiple, large and long standing verruca where by other methods have not been successful. The procedure is carried out painlessly, whilst the area treated is numbed following a local anaesthetic injection.

Vanessa Wise
BSc (Hons) podiatrist - MChS HCPC

Vanessa graduated for the university of Salford in 2010 with a 1st Class BSc (Hons) in Podiatry. She has worked as a private podiatrist in Chester and the Wirral since then, and has also worked for many years as a therapist and is an excellent clinician in all aspects of footcare, with a keen interest in Dermatology. 

Vanessa has trained in the application of Wilde Pedique products a method which can cosmetically rebuild damaged nails. 

Vanessa has a wealth of experience and is friendly and easily builds rapport with clients to provide the best individual care for all patients. 

At home, she os a mum of two young boys, and has been a competitive Ballroom dancer for over 25 Years, so she knows the importance of keeping our feet in good condition.

Jeff Pringle  

​Jeff Pringle is a fully qualified Clinical Sports Therapist, Soft Tissue Therapist and Medical Acupuncturist based on the Wirral. He first became interested in Sports Therapy after suffering from both back and knee pain following my own involvement in sport.

Jeff is committed to continuing his training and development within alternative therapies. Jeff is also a qualified Medical Acupuncturist and deep tissue massage techniques further by completing an Advanced Diploma in Myofascial Release. ​

Jeff enjoys working with a variety of clients, from those involved in elite sport who require help recovering from an injury, to clients suffering from everyday aches and pains such as low back pain, knee pain, headaches and carpal tunnel syndrome to name a few.

​Lucy Grant
Member of the Association of Reflexologists


​Lucy Grant is a fully qualified reflexologist and Member of the Association. Reflexology is complementary holistic therapy that involves the application of pressure to specific points, know as reflexes on the feet and hands to encourage the body to heal from within. It promotes relaxation, aids sleep, improves mood and much more. 
​Lucy Grant also is fully training in pregnancy and fertility. 

The treatment includes high quality luxurious products that contain natural organic ingredients without the use of nasty chemicals. 

​The word Anastasis is a Greek word for 'restoration of life' which is appropriate after considering some of the results from reflexology treatment
